Allison Le Yoga & Wellness Agreements, Policies and Disclaimers

Thank you for choosing Allison Le Yoga & Wellness to serve your yoga practice needs. Please see the agreements and policies below that apply to both public and private yoga sessions.

 

Cancellation Policy

All purchases are non-refundable, but are transferable to other sessions, family members or friends. If you cancel 24 hours before your appointment, you may reschedule your appointment to another date/time. I hope you can understand that if you cancel within 24 hours we will not be able to reschedule your session because just as I do for you, I reserve space for other clients.

 

Assumption of Risk

In purchasing a service through Allison Le Yoga & Wellness, I agree to participate in a yoga and Integration session(s), workshop(s), program(s), retreat(s) and/or class(es) conducted by Allison Le Yoga & Wellness, which may include, but not necessarily be limited to, yoga, meditation, breathwork, asana, pranayama, mantra, etc. Allison Le Yoga & Wellness has made me fully aware that the yoga and transformation program which Allison Le Yoga & Wellness offers, and in which I agree to participate, is of a nature and kind that is at-times strenuous and may push me to the limits of my physical, emotional, and/or spiritual abilities. I acknowledge that at no time during the program will I allow anyone else to have control over my body or mind, other than myself. I acknowledge and understand that all sessions conducted under Allison Le Yoga & Wellness are not considered therapy sessions. I acknowledge that when I participate in sessions with Allison Le Yoga & Wellness, that these are not mental health therapy sessions as defined by the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).

 

I recognize and understand that the program is not without varying degrees of risk which may include, but are not limited to the following: 

• Injury to the musculoskeletal and/or cardio respiratory system which can result in serious injury or death. 

• Injury or death due to negligence on the part of myself, my training partner, or other people around me. 

• Injury or death due to improper use or failure of equipment. 

• Injury or death due to a medical condition, whether known or unknown to me. 

• Emotional injury, pain, or unexpected overwhelm of feelings, thoughts, and emotions. 

 

I willingly assume full responsibility for any and all risks that I am exposing myself to as a result of my participation as a client of Allison Le Yoga & Wellness, and accept full responsibility for any death that may result from participation in any activity or physical programme. I hereby certify that I know of no medical problems that could increase my risk of physical/mental illness and injury as a result of participation in a health and wellness practice designed by Allison Le Yoga & Wellness. Allison Le Yoga & Wellness informed me that there exists the possibility of adverse physical change during an exercise/wellness programme and I fully understand the same. Allison Le Yoga & Wellness informed me that these changes could include abnormal blood pressure, fainting, disorder of heart rhythm, stroke, and in very rare instances, heart attack or even death. With my full understanding of the above information I agree to assume all risks associated with my participation in Allison Le Yoga & Wellness health, wellness and transformation practices.

Release of Liability 

In full consideration of the above mentioned risks and hazards, and in full consideration of the fact that I am willingly and voluntarily participating in the activities made available by Allison Le Yoga & Wellness, I hereby waive, release and discharge Allison Le Yoga & Wellness and its employees and volunteers of any kind related to, arising from, or in any way connected with my participation in the fitness programme.

This agreement shall be binding upon me, my successors, representatives, heirs, executors, assigns, or transferees. If any portion of this agreement is held invalid, I agree that the remainder of the agreement shall remain in full legal force and effect. If I am signing on behalf of a minor child, I also give full permission for any person connected with Allison Le Yoga & Wellness to administer first aid deemed necessary, and in case of serious illness, or injury, give permission to call for medical and or surgical care for the child and to transport the child to a medical facility deemed necessary for the well being of the child.

I recognize that there is risk involved in the types of activities offered by Allison Le Yoga & Wellness. Therefore I accept financial responsibility for any injury that I may cause either to myself or to any other participants due to my negligence. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Allison Le Yoga & Wellness, their employees and volunteers from liability for the injury or death of any person(s) and damage to property that may result from my negligent or intentional act or omission while participating in activities offered by Allison Le Yoga & Wellness.

I agree to allow Allison Le Yoga & Wellness, its employees and volunteers to use picture(s), film and/or likeness of me for advertising purposes. In the event I choose not to allow use of such media I must inform Allison Le Yoga & Wellness of this in writing.

I have fully read and understand the foregoing assumptions of risk and release of liability, and I understand that by signing below it obligates me to indemnify the parties named for any liability for injury or death of any person and damage to property caused by my negligent or intentional act or omission. I understand that by signing this form I am waiving valuable legal rights.

Disclaimer regarding Self Work sessions

The purpose of my work is to assist people in finding clarity and implementing changes to benefit their overall wellbeing in their lives through supportive guidance and compassionate conversation. The information I offer on this website is based on my personal life and professional experience throughout my life and with a career as a yoga teacher.
 
By participating in my sessions, attending any of my classes, pop-ups, or workshops; and reading my blog, guidelines, handouts, and newsletters; you acknowledge that I am not a licensed psychologist, medical doctor, or health care professional and my services do not replace the care of psychologists, doctors or other healthcare professionals. Allison Le Yoga & Wellness Sessions are in no way to be construed or substituted as psychological counseling, psychotherapy, mental health counseling, or any other type of psychotherapy or medical advice.

Additionally, these services, offerings, and other materials offered through this website have the potential to stir emotional or physical responses and/or stress. The objective of the services and offerings are informative, not psychotherapeutic in nature.  If you have been treated for, or believe you may have suffered from a psychological and/or traumatic injury, please consider if you are in a position to safely engage with the service or offering at this time, and/or consider enlisting the support of a professional who can be a resource to you both during and after the course. Allison Le Yoga is not liable for any distress participation might create.
